Science Debate is seeking both individual and institutional support in order to build an ongoing organization dedicated to elevating science and technology in America's national dialogue, via nonpartisan science debates between candidates for office, educational events featuring science and technology policy topics for policymakers and the public, media education efforts to improve science policy coverage during the science news crisis, and other critical initiatives that are central to its mission of elevating science and engineering policy in the national dialogue of the world's leading democracy - among the highest and most critical strategic objectives of our time.  We need your support - please give generously.  And if your organization is a fit for this important mission, please speak to us about institutional support.

This presentation includes information from Science Debate cofounders Lawrence Krauss and Chris Mooney, and Science Debate steering committee member Ira Flatow.  Their important contributions are gratefully acknowledged. The Nobel Conference is the first ongoing academic conference in the United States to have the official authorization of the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm, Sweden. It is held annually at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.  The 2009 conference was the 45th in the series.  Other speakers included IPCC Chair Rajendra K. Pachauri, Third World Center for Water Management President Asit K. Biswas, Pacific Institute President Peter H. Gleick, and others.
