This Science and Policy study was conducted by telephone within the United States by Lake Research Partners on behalf of Scientists and Engineers for America. It is presented in partnership with ScienceDebate2008.com. The survey was conducted between June 12 and June 15, 2008 among 1,005 U.S adults ages 18+. At a 95% confidence level, this survey has a maximum theoretical sampling error of ±3.1%.
Results were weighted for age, sex, geographic region, and race where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population. The tabulations presented here are results for registered voters.
